32,500 sq ft of polished concrete across an open-plan trading floor and adjacent café. Specified for IT-cable agility, daylight reflectance, and a 7-day-per-floor schedule.
Project narrative
The owner's IT group needed an under-floor cable plenum strategy that could change every 24 months. Polished concrete — over a structural slab with a raised-access cable tray — gave them a finished floor they could lift, modify, and reseal without re-flooring.
Lithium-densifier was applied after a 100-grit cut, then the floor was taken to 800-grit for the Level 3 gloss specified in Corgan's interior package. We stain-guarded after final polish to handle barista spills in the adjacent café zone.
The full 32,500 sq ft completed in 21 calendar days across three crews, sequenced one floor at a time so the GC could release each level to the millwork sub on a rolling basis.
