For Architects
Spec support from a sub who knows the spec better than the spec writer.
Custom samples, CSI-format sections, BIM assemblies, LEED documentation, and AIA CEUs — everything a DFW design team needs to specify epoxy terrazzo with confidence and get the floor that was drawn.
Design support
What we hand to your design team — free, before bid.
Specifying epoxy terrazzo shouldn't mean chasing down divider details or guessing at aggregate availability. We pre-build everything your team needs to draw it once and draw it right.
CSI-format specifications
Editable CSI 09 66 13 (Portland Cement Terrazzo Flooring) and 09 66 23 (Resinous Matrix Terrazzo) sections delivered in Word, with project-specific aggregate schedules and divider details already filled in.
Custom physical samples
4" × 4" poured-and-ground samples returned in 10 business days from a color brief — or a 6" × 6" if you need to present at design review. No charge for samples on bidding projects.
BIM & Revit assemblies
Pre-built 3/8" epoxy terrazzo floor assemblies with the correct layered composition, materials, and visualization tags. Drop them into your project browser; we'll match your office's parameters on request.
Divider strip layouts
We'll lay out zinc/brass/aluminum divider patterns over your floor plan as a free preliminary service, including thermal-movement and panel-size best practices for slab conditions in DFW.
Continuing education
AIA-registered lunch-and-learns at your office.
We present three CEU-eligible programs at DFW architecture offices on a rolling schedule. Lunch is on us. Sessions include physical samples, a divider detail wall, and a Q&A with the crew lead who would actually install your project.
- Epoxy Terrazzo: System Design, Specification & Sustainability (AIA 1.0 LU/HSW)
- Terrazzo Restoration in Adaptive Reuse & Historic Projects (AIA 1.0 LU)
- Precast Terrazzo: Treads, Bases, and Wall Panel Detailing (AIA 1.0 LU/HSW)

LEED & sustainability
Full credit documentation, packaged the way reviewers want it.
Epoxy terrazzo is one of the easier specifications to defend in a LEED submission — recycled aggregate, decades-long service life, low VOC resin, and no replacement cycle. We assemble the documentation so your sustainability consultant can drop it into the submittal verbatim.
- MR Credit — Building Product Disclosure (EPDs from resin & aggregate manufacturers)
- MR Credit — Sourcing of Raw Materials (recycled glass aggregate, regional content)
- MR Credit — Material Ingredients (Declare labels available)
- IEQ Credit — Low-Emitting Materials (resin systems certified to SCS Indoor Advantage Gold)
- IEQ Credit — Construction IAQ Management Plan (full SDS package, jobsite procedures)
FAQ
Questions DFW design teams ask first.
Can you write a closed proprietary spec around your system?
+
We can supply a tight performance spec that names the resin manufacturer, aggregate gradation, divider gauge, and finish — open enough to bid competitively while still locking in the design intent. For projects where the owner allows a closed spec (private sector, design-build), we can write one and stand behind it.
Do you provide mockups for design review presentations?
+
Yes — we routinely build 12" × 12" or larger ground-and-polished mockups for client and design-review presentations. Lead time is typically 2 weeks from approved color brief. There is no cost if our system is being specified on the project; otherwise mockups are billed at cost.
Will you match an existing terrazzo floor for a renovation or addition?
+
Routinely. Send us a 6" × 6" core (or even a chip), and we'll return a side-by-side sample within 2 weeks. Our shop keeps over 200 historical blends documented; close matches are usually possible without going to custom aggregate sourcing.
Can you present a lunch-and-learn at our office?
+
Yes — we are AIA-registered and present three CEU-eligible programs at DFW design offices on a rolling schedule. Lunch is on us. Email us with a date window and we'll confirm within 48 hours.
